Happy Birthday to Madelynn!!

Madelynn Sasser turns THREE today!!
The only girl at the Sassers', Madelynn holds her own. She is such a sweet girl and takes good care of all of us. She loves being the only girl and getting to do things that boys can't do like paint her finger and toe nails and go to dance class! She LOVES swinging really high and watching Dora. Her new favorite movie is Sleeping Beauty and she can name all the disney princesses. She has developed a love for puzzles like her big brother and is enjoying going to school Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week. Her favorite thing to eat is chicken nuggets--with ketchup, of course--and she LOVES to drink milk!
Happy Birthday, sweet girl!!
We love you!!

Happy Birthday to Aunt Mel!!

Of course, my sister wouldn't post about her own birthday! Both of us have kind of slacked a bit with the whole crazy lives that we lead. Well, hers entails more kids than me but my class may as well be 2 more kids!
So, Happy Birthday to my middle big sister! What a great mom, wife, daughter, friend and therapist you are! I hope your weekend away with your husband was worth getting soaking wet at a football game ... just the two of you! You deserve the time away for sure!!! We love you and Happy Birthday!!! Sorry for the old pic ... it was this or you in your PJs!

Water park fun!!!!

About 7 or 8 years ago, the girls all gave Mom a beach trip for Christmas. Over the years, it has evolved into a long weekend each summer that the whole family spends together. We had a GREAT time this year. We started with a trip to the water park. The weather did not look promising, but God provided and we were able to stay all day with overcast skies. It was SOOOOOOO much fun! They had something for all ages. Truett enjoyed floating at the beach, Jake LOVED playing in the Splash park where he could go down the slides all by himself, Dean and Madelynn and Landon and Sydney (and Matt and Melanie) had a BLAST sliding down all the slides at the Creaky Leaky over and over and getting TOTALLY soaked! Matt and Melanie almost went over the top of the Back Splash (oh so fun). KB enjoyed soaking up some rays on the beach while Ju Ju spent most of her time playing in the water at the beach, but finally got her sliding in with Dean at the Creaky Leaky, too. Pop's favorite was the lazy river which we rode SEVERAL times. I think Mimi's favorite was watching us all enjoy being together no matter where we were.

What a sweet boy!!

Do you see those clouds?
It seriously never rained more than a few drops!
Jake loved that he could walk right out into the water!
Thank goodness for the life jacket!!

You're getting on up there! HMMMM..... :)

Father's Day Fun

I wish I wouldn't have been too lazy to get my camera out while the Rawsons were at Mimi and Pop's Sunday. It was a fun afternoon! Ryan and I came in from his parent's anniversary party late Saturday night and enjoyed church and a day in Kosciusko with the Burnham crew. The Sasser's are at the river on vacation. So, we sure missed them.
Mimi cooked a great lunch and yummy desserts (coconut pie and sock it to me cake). Some of us played Clue (not as much fun as I remember), Landon played in the heat, and Julie and Steve were entertained by baby Tru. Such a fun day! Happy Father's Day, Dad! You are the greatest dad! We love you!
Here are the only pics we did take ...
