Steve and Landon were supposed to come on to the game after hunting opening morning BUT Steve somehow managed to have a wreck on his four-wheeler and tore his ACL. Thank goodness he killed two deer in bow season, Julie says! So, he's having surgery next Thursday on his bum knee...OUCH!
As for dad's birthday which was the next day, we always seem to find a way to have a birthday cake at the tailgate! So, we celebrated there and opened gifts...the whole nine yards. We didn't have ice cream but I think it was cold enough that it wouldn't have melted a bit!
The game was actually watchable and somewhat exciting ... HELLO!!! WE WON!!! And when we got back to the tailgate, Dean wanted more cake. Ok ... by the end of the night, that made piece number five I do believe. Mel, you can thank Ryan for the sugar high your child was on!
We are so thankful to have had these times to spend together as a family. Now that we're all spread out again, it makes seeing one another just that much sweeter. We'll see what next year holds BUT I'm pretty sure it doesn't include all of us bearing MSU Season tickets!
Go DAWGS!!!!
